About Mrs. Baker

Mrs. Baker teaches grade one at Mike Mountain Horse School in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

She is married to Mr. Baker and is called “Mommy” by two amazingly wonderful and precious small humans and two poorly behaved dogs – all the lights of her life. She has been called “Martha” by many a close friend, and does approximately eleventy bajillion (actual number as quoted from a former student!) things. She loves learning as much as she loves teaching!

• Authentic laughter & the sound of happy children
• Seeing children enjoying reading and learning
• Reading…a little bit of everything!
• Photography…primarily children’s portraiture
• Learning…anything!
• Exercise…Mrs. Baker is a certified fitness instructor, yoga & pilates instructor, personal trainer and more. She loves to run, hike, kickbox, climb walls and play on playgrounds.
• Starbucks…venti nonfat light ice latte, triple grande coffee frappucino, grande non-fat no-foam extra-hot latte, Venti one pump shaken green tea lemonade…it’s definitely an addiction!
• The beauty of nature…The Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park is one of Mrs. Baker’s favourite places on earth.
• Camping
• Fantasizing about vacationing with her family (and some day maybe she’ll actually get to do it!)
• Her laptop
