T minus 10 1/2 days

(This was in draft form for a couple of days – we’re now at 8 1/2 days!)

1. Tuesday, June 14 afternoon we are at Helen Schuler. We leave at 12:45 and our program runs from 1-2:30.
2. Friday is our Father’s Day celebration. Dads, please be in our classroom a few minutes before 11. We will perform at 11 and then take you outside to play (weather permitting!) Please don’t forget to come back to our classroom before you go home to pick up your gifts!
3. Tuesday, June 21 is K-2 Sports Day. We have an afternoon volunteer but still need at least one for the morning. Please let me know if you can help us out.
4. Wednesday, June 22 is the West Side pow wow at Nicholas Sheran park. We have three walkers now – thanks to Mrs. Fletcher, Mrs. deBoer and Mrs. Baker!
5. Thursday, June 23 is the grade one year end family picnic at Nicholas Sheran park. Further forms to follow on Thursday.
6. If your child will not be here right until the 28th, please let me know asap so I can ensure you get their supplies and report card.

Phew! We have 10 ½ days of school left (and two of those are Fridays), and at least 3 ½ of them are filled with activities, so the crunch is on! We are 99% done our curriculum and things will start to come home soon so you don’t have to handle it all on the 28th.

If things come home unfinished, you do not need to complete them at home and return them. Feel free to work on them for extra practice, but some things were just extra from the days when we had a sub and other things we ended up doing on the smartboard rather than on paper.
